If one or both parties has obtained pension rights during the marriage, these are equally divided.

If one or both parties has obtained pension rights during the marriage, these are equally divided. The party who has a claim can write a letter to the pension insurer of the other party and state that she or he claims 50% of the pension rights. the other party can do this as well.
